PS5 System Software Update Improves Activities Display

Sony has released a new update for the PlayStation 5 that improves how the Activities cards display information. Check out the Version: 24.07-10.20.00 patch notes.

Sony has released a new update for the PlayStation 5 that improves how the Activities cards display information. Version 24.07-10.20.00, which weighs in at 1.3GB, changes how activities display to show 'In Progress,' 'Not Started,' or 'Completed,' depending on whether you have ever started or completed the activity. The patch notes, per the PlayStation website, are below. Activities, which Sony touted as one of the PS5’s key new features ahead of its November 2020 launch, let players jump straight into specific missions, modes, and quests from the console’s Control Centre, although they don’t always get players back into the action as quickly as they’d like. Elsewhere, the PS5 update improves “performance and stability,” as these updates always do, and improves the messages and usability on some screens. The PS5 update comes ahead of the launch of the PS5 Pro on November 7. The $700 mid-gen upgrade is set to run video games with improved framerates and visual quality, with over 70 set to receive the PS5 Pro Enhanced label. Updates for PS5 games are coming in thick and fast to prepare for the console’s launch, each making use of the beefier hardware in different ways. The PS5 is now up to 61.7 million units sold, although sales are declining as the console enters the second half of its lifecycle.
